Chief Vigilance Officer and Vigilance Officers


The probity and transparency is to be maintained by public servants at all times and is a prerequisite for effective good governance. Vigilance Officers function at ICAR Institutes as representative of Chief Vigilance Officer of Iinstitute. He/She maintains a close watch on the functioning and performance of the Institute at various levels. The Vigilance Office also play an important role to guide or assist Head of the Institute in administrative, financial and vigilance matters for overall improvement of the Institute.



Main Functions of Vigilance Officers

 

  •      Vigilance Officers function at ICAR Institutes as representative of Vigilance Officer of Institute. They furnish periodic reports on various issues related to the Institute having vigilance angle.
  •      Maintains a close watch on the functioning and performance of the Institute at various levels especially from vigilance point of view.
  •      Periodically review and modify the working procedures so as to minimize the scope of mal-practices and harassment to the public.
  •      Assist and guide Head of the Institute in all administrative, financial and vigilance matters for overall improvement of the organization.
